Hope Christian Church is proud to be hosting “The Great Comeback”, a sports and arts camp for children ages 4-12, from July 27-31, 2009. Run in conjunction with Uncharted Waters Sports Ministry (www.uwsportsministry.org) and hosted by Hope Christian Church at Ambrose Elementary School in Winchester, the camp will feature tracks in soccer, basketball, cheering and arts/music for 6-12 year olds, and basic sports skills (fundamentals of motion, rhythm and balance) for 4-5 year olds.
In addition to instruction, drills, and activities within each of the tracks, students will have breaks to have a snack and to learn about several great comebacks in sports (such as the Celtics in the 2008 NBA finals) and in the Bible. Children will take home interactive news flashes that summarize what they have learned each day.
The coaches for this camp are college athletes on staff with Uncharted Waters Sports Ministry, and they will be assisted by qualified, trained volunteers. All camp staff will have passed CORI & SORI background checks. A camp nurse will be present at all times.

* The cost is $50 per child through July 10, and $70 per child thereafter. Some scholarships are available.
